Actor, or audition, headshots are all about emotion. Whether you’re seeking roles as a romantic lead, a dramatic heavy or a lighthearted best buddy, your actor headshot has to immediately convey your suitability for the part. You need it to stand out from the dozens of headshots casting directors see on a daily basis.
The right wardrobe is essential for a successful headshot, so we’ll work together beforehand to help you select the correct clothing styles and colors. I will provide guidance with hair and makeup, and can offer professional hairstylists and makeup artists if you prefer. My studio features a wide variety of backdrops as well as numerous outdoor options to make sure you get the right look and style for your photos.
You will need to practice a wide range of emotions before you come to the studio. There are a lot of requirements for actor headshots, so I'll make sure we cover all the bases on the day of our session. I want you to deliver photos that will bring you a lot of work!
I enjoy photographing actors in character, as well as providing promotional photos for commercial and theatrical productions.
"Magnificent images of David Keltz as Edgar Allan Poe were captured by Vickie Gray. As David’s producer, we had to find the perfect photographer willing to tackle our very specific challenge. Prior exceptional experience with her led us right back to her. Vickie’s “Can do!” attitude makes all the difference! She deserves our highest recommendation."
